Overview

prismVox is a Voice over IP (VoIP) application developed by LaClair Technologies. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

Data We Collect

Account information: Email address and display name, used for authentication and caller identification.
Call metadata: Call timestamps, duration, and participant identifiers. Used for call history and diagnostics.
Device tokens: Apple Push Notification device tokens, used solely to deliver incoming call notifications.
Phone numbers: Numbers you dial or receive calls from, stored in call history.

Data We Do Not Collect

Call audio: Voice calls are encrypted end-to-end using WebRTC with SRTP. We do not record, store, or listen to your conversations.
Contacts: We do not access or upload your device contacts.
Location: We do not collect location data.
Analytics or tracking: We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking pixels.

How We Use Your Data

Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
Route calls between users and phone numbers.
Deliver push notifications for incoming calls.
Display call history within the app.
Diagnose and fix technical issues.

Data Storage and Security

Account data and call metadata are stored in a PostgreSQL database on infrastructure operated by LaClair Technologies. Authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain. All client-server communication uses TLS encryption. Voice media is encrypted with SRTP.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Call history is retained for 90 days. Push notification tokens are automatically removed when they become invalid. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

Third-Party Services

Apple Push Notification Service (APNs): Used to deliver incoming call notifications to your device. Apple's privacy policy applies to their processing of push delivery.
SIP trunk provider: Outbound and inbound phone calls are routed through a third-party SIP trunk provider. Call metadata (phone numbers, timestamps) is shared with this provider as required for call routing.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

prismVox is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of prismVox after changes constitutes acceptance.
